Vintage Brass Yardley New York Enameled Figural Ladies Makeup Compact

Vintage 1930's Yardley New York brass enameled figural ladies makeup compact.

This unique intricate piece is made by Yardley New York and features a black enameled floral design with a raised figural image of a woman and children with red enamel at their feet. The outer rim of the compact features red enamel as well. At the base of the compact is a removable lip stick holder. The main compartment opens to reveal a mirror and a well for a foundation applicator. If the small lever on the bottom right is pressed, it opens to a foundation well. The mirror on top flips up to reveal a blush well.

The inside of the foundation section is marked "Patent Pending" on the bottom left and signed Yardley in the top right. The back is also signed Yardley with a black and red enameled oval around it.

The compact measures 2" x 2.5" when closed. The left side of the lid is very slightly loose, but doesn't affect the function of the piece.
